Dear Artist,

Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur and Comunicar language and consulting services invite you to participate in the first annual InspirARTE fundraiser to benefit Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur. Since 1995, the non-profit organization Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur has provided information, education, resource referral and advocacy services to the Hispanic community with limited English proficiency across our state.

Artists are invited to submit works inspired by four prominent Latin American artists.

In addition to raising funds for Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur's operating budget and programs, the event has the goal of educating participating artists and the public in general about the quality and diversity of Latin American art. We expect to attract a large audience of both art enthusiasts and supporters of the Latin American community, which should give artists exposure to a new public. Some of the volunteers helping in this project are artists themselves: they include Heidi Darr-Hope and Melanie Mauldin, who is past chairwoman of the board of Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur.Each artist may donate a maximum of two works. Artists will set the minimum bid for their pieces. Starting bids should range from $50 to $500. Artists will retain 60% of the sales price; Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur will receive the remaining 40% as a donation. Participating artists will be given two complimentary tickets to the event.We expect that over 50 artists will take part. InspirARTE Guidelines and Conditions General
1. Works should be inspired by one of the four featured Latin American artists.
2. Works must be original.
3. Artist should set the minimum bid; a maximum of $500 please.
4. Works must be framed and ready to hang for display. Size and weight may be important so please keep that in mind.
5. Works should be delivered (to be announced)
6. Unsold works may be picked up at the same location until
(to be announced)

Conditions of Sale
1. Acercamiento Hispano de Carolina del Sur will handle the sale with a split of 60/40 (artist/organization).
2. Payment to the artist will be made within two weeks of the sale.

Artists with Gallery Representation
Artists who are represented by a gallery are encouraged to notify the gallery of her/his participation in this event.
